Advanced Timbercraft are pleased to announce that we have received an order for a timber frame house package from Clive and Gillian Corry, the founders of SelfBuild Ireland Ltd, who run the well- known SelfBuild Extend & Renovate Shows throughout Ireland and publish the highly regarded magazine of the same name.

Having self-built their first house in 1990 and then created their most successful business to help others to do the same, Clive and Gillian have decided, after twenty years, to build an ambitious new home of near passive design on a spectacular site overlooking Strangford Lough.

We have been working with Clive and Gillian for some months on a very exacting and state of the art specification for this owner designed, circular house with breathing walls. As you would expect of clients with such vast experience in the building industry, the planning, specification and detailing of their new home pushes out new boundaries in both design and manufacture.

During the build, you can ‘follow the action’ via a blog on the SelfBuild website – www.selfbuild.ie
We are both excited and proud to have been awarded this contract and look forward to seeing the project through to completion.

If you would like us to help you to realise your dreams, please contact us now for a free consultation.

Recently our company has identified a recurring theme from clients – namely the high levels of stress induced by the whole planning and design process before arriving at our door. We have been very conscious of these problems and which we ourselves have experienced firsthand. Visionaryworks – a leading planning and architectural design consultancy, were vital in streamlining this process for us on numerous occasions. Hence we have now forged a strategic alliance offering a seamless design and build service as required.” Kevin McGurran of Visionaryworks adds “We are excited to partner with Advanced Timbercraft who have a proven track record of excellence in this type of innovative construction. We feel their Advanced Timber Frame Systems are the way forward in providing a sustainable, healthy, comfortable home both now and in the future”
